KR HUMAN PERFORMANCE PILATES™ (KRHPP) CERTIFICATION
LEVEL 1
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
PILATES AND MOVEMENT SKILLS CONDITIONING – ROOTED IN THE SCIENCE OF BIOMECHANICS, INCLUDING:
THE KR HPP SYSTEM:
- Learn about Chain Reaction Biomechanics and train your eyes to see the entire Kinetic Chain in action
- Training the athlete to access and utilize ground reaction forces through proper Footwork
- Understanding the kinematic sequence and how to incorporate this science into your teaching method
- Learn how to identify asymmetries and understand the importance of training accelerator and decelerator muscles
- Learn about the relationship of proximal stability and distal mobility
- HIP IR/HIP ER and glute activation relationships
- Practice breathing strategies with IAP, TVA and Pelvic floor involvement
- Learn the importance of the set up and full body integration before movement begins
- Explore the power of external cuing techniques
- Practice hands-on adjustments ensuring proper alignment and with maximum benefits for the athlete
WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE:
- 16 CEC’s from NPCP (National Pilates Certification Program)
- Certification as a KR Human Performance Pilates™ Instructor
- KR Human Performance Pilates™ Certificate of Completion
- KR Human Performance Pilates™ Instructors Training Manual
- Opportunity/consideration for team or facility placement under Katherine Roberts’ Human Performance Pilates™ Program
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum two years of Pilates instructor experience
- Minimum two years experience as a movement specialist
- A desire to deep dive and learn with a radically curious mind
